A friend was recently sharing with me their design ideas for a new home. The space felt heavily influenced by the Architectural Digest Youtube channel. At one point I checked the printed presentation that was professionaly bound to see if it was actually a Nate Berkus coffee table book. When the presentation veered to the living room my friend stopped and turned to me with great seriousness and asked me if I had any knowledge in which couches were best for group sex? I did not - but was flattered they assumed I would know. A few hours after the aspiring interior designer had left, I began to wonder which couch Nate Berkus would recommend for group sex? 

What would make a good couch for group sex? and does this couch need to play the role of anything else in this home? The pandemic has made our homes work harder then ever. Does this couch need to be the foundation for friends and family film nights? A space for cocktails and karaoke? is this your spot for meditation? A couch  that also needs to be the foundation for group sex needs to work even harder. 

What kind of sex you have will determine the shape, adornments, fabrics and textiles all these bodies are about to be experiencing. Because it’s sex and body fluids are a natural part of the experience you will need a strong fabric kissed in the finest teflon chemical treatment. With only a damp cloth easily wipe the sex away. Group sex is happening everywhere / every day. Those who have a human humping experience also always have a story. The part that always interests me most is the location. As I venture into filmmaking I know who to hire as the location scout - an orgy organizer. My only steadfast orgy rule that has served me well is to avoid IKEA bed frames. When I hear talk of the IKEA wooden bed slates I shiver. The Swedish have not made their furniture for the sheer motion and force that can come with group sex - let alone the classic twosome. There are reddit groups dedicated to the debate of “Which IKEA bed is best and sturdiest for sex?” – and like most places on the internet where debate plays out there is no unified answer.

An analysis of reddit comments leads me to a Swedish sex study that had been weaponized against another user, the survey states in a poll of sexually active Swedish people the number one fantasy of the population was group sex. If said fantasy were real, the IKEA bed frames of today would be very different. Let’s live our pleasure for the sake of better design.

The true art of the orgy is up to you. This is your life. This is your body. And if you want to grab life or a consenting friend by the balls you can. After asking some better versed friends on the recent trends of group sex they shared unanimous applause for the NUGGET couch  – and the other number one recommendation they shared for the best group sex experience: Be Kind. Nate Stetson Writes About What Film Makes Him Horny

Lou Ye's film Suzhou He makes me feel horny, but not in the traditional "oooo I've gotta get off right now!" kind of way. The film shows sympathy to memory and the rewriting of our most poignantly painful memories. The film leaves me hungry for more life and more art. What makes me the most horny at the moment would have to be music. When I think of the most intimate moments I’ve had or when I fantasize about sex there’s always a song or melody attached. I’m sure many can relate. From the tickle of a piano, to the vibrato in a voice, and everything in between. It all causes a bodily reaction that feels like good conversation, flirting, and that good-good foreplay, All major requirements for sex with me.

If I’m being honest, my first memory of being sexually affected by music would have to be when I was in my mother’s care. Couldn’t have been much older than 11. In that house music was a constant, and without any knowledge of artist or genre I’d just stare and stare at the stereo, amazed by what came out (I wasn’t the brightest child).

I remember Janet Jackson’s “that’s the way love goes” was in heavy rotation. It might’ve been the lyrics that I couldn’t fully grasp, dripping with sexuality or the mid-tempo, cool and fiery. Largely, it was the fact I was unsure if the voice I was hearing belonged to a female or male, and how nervous that anonymity made me feel. That formula had me as tight in the crotch as an 11-year-old could get, sending me b-line to the washroom as if it were Christmas on the other side of the door. Fiddling with myself as boys do, clutching walls and grinding up and down towel racks, I’d catch mirror glimpses and imagine someone watching which would send me even deeper.

That same sonic reaction has me to this day. Being that I’m a little more grown with more knowledge about me, I guess I pull that sense of anonymity & discovery from a setting like a poorly lit venue where music is the focus. Enjoying the sound, the faceless silhouettes all moving, dreaming up a stranger who wants to pull me in as much I wish to be pulled. And then does.

My favourite city that makes me hornier than I normally am (which already tends to get me into trouble) is NYC. Going from a small metropolitan city like Vancouver to NYC I immediately experience the palpable sexual possibilities. Whether it’s getting cruised on a train through Manhattan, getting to meet people I’ve known online for years in Brooklyn or hooking up with someone in the waves of Fire Island, the place oozes with sexual energy.
